I made this a few times exactly as written only adding a little vanilla glaze so it wouldn’t look so plain. It’s delicious. Needed to use leftover egg whites and stumbled across this recipe. Glad I did.

Hi! I used coconut oil instead of butter (I’m lactose intolerant so prefer dairy-free) and the cake turned out fantastic! My son introduced me to the cherry-almond combination at Christmas so will be serving the cake with cherry sauce. Thank you!

made with frozen egg whites. didn’t whip them. put in 3 small springform pans. rose in middle. pretty.
tasted a bit like financier cookies. will make again!
