Ingredients

  • 6 puff pastry shells (see note)
  • 6 tablespoons goat cheese
  • 3 figs (or more if the figs are very small)
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze (or more to taste)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to F425.
  • Arrange the unbaked (defrosted) puff pastry shells on a sheet pan about 2 inches apart.
  • Add one tablespoon of goat cheese to the centre of each puff pastry shell.
  • Cut the figs in half and then slice each half into 3 wedges.
  • Arrange 3 fig wedges over the goat cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until the puff pastry has risen and turned golden colour.
  • Drizzle the balsamic glaze over the baked Goat Cheese and Fig Tartlets and serve either warm or cold.

Notes

If you don't have puff pastry shells, use regular puff pastry, just roll into a thin sheet and cut into 6 pieces about 3-4 inches in size.

You can drizzle the balsamic glaze before baking or after or even twice.
