  • 1 large egg


  • Add 1 cup cold water to your Instant Pot.
  • Place cold egg(s) on a trivet in Instant Pot.
  • Close and lock the lid.
  • Turn the vent on the lid to the sealing position.
  • Press Manual or Pressure Cooker button (depending on your model) and using the arrow buttons set the cook time to 2 minutes. Use default High Pressure. It will take around 5 minutes for the Instant Pot to come to pressure.
  • Once the Instant Pot beeps that the 2 minutes of cooking are done, do a quick release. This will take about 1-2 minutes.
  • Place the egg(s) into an ice bath for about 3-4 minutes.
  • Enjoy with a sprinkling of salt and toast.
